Blacklist
From HaloWiki
Starting from April 1, 2006, any new writer who does not have draft reviews submitted by the deadline indicated on the information sheet included with their package may be blacklisted. This is in response to the increasing numbers of promo albums that are going "missing" when we send them to external reviewers.

Blacklist Policy
Writers who began before April 1, 2006
Writers who had their first review on the site before April 1, 2006, are exempt from this policy.
Legitimate delays
There are, of course, legitimate reasons why your review might be late. This policy is not intended to target those occasions. If you have a legitimate reason why you're going to be late (your package arriving mangled in the mail, family crisis, etc), then please let us know before the deadline. You may then be granted an extension.
Writers who constantly have legitimate delays will not find themselves blacklisted, but may find they receive less items than normal. If your life is so busy that you cannot commit an hour a month to write reviews, then perhaps you don't have time to write for us.
Regarding mail problems, all mail is now sent via registered post. If you receive a destroyed item, let us know as soon as possible, and we'll work it out with Australia Post. This was more trouble than its worth, and has been discontinued. Just let us know if you don't get something.
Information sharing
We reserve the right to trade information on delinquent writers with other, similar websites. Promos are valuable, and people taking them and disappearing is a big problem for a small site run for the love of music, rather than for money. This information will take the form of names only, actual information that could be used to identify you in the real world (postal addresses, phone numbers) will not be shared outside this site's management in any way.
Delays caused by being out of town, away from the Internet, etc
Some reviewers have claimed that they couldn't submit anything for a couple of months because they were out of town, visiting relatives, or something like that. This will not be counted as an acceptable excuse in the future! if you don't email us about it beforehand. It only takes five minutes to go to an Internet café and drop us a quick note saying that you'll be unable to review something for a month, if you're in a location so isolated that that isn't possible, then you probably won't mind being removed permanently from our mailing list.
Hall of Shame
- Castor Quinn. Disappeared once with a bunch of albums. Surfaced a few months later, apologised profusely, and was given a second chance. After a few good reviews, he once again disappeared after a few half-hearted attempts to fob us off. We won't be giving him a third chance.
